A Little History
The Twelve Mile 500 is 15 mile lawnmower race that has been running annually since 1963, making it “America’s Oldest Lawn Mower Race”. The race is held every July 4th at Plank Hill Park in Twelve Mile, Indiana. The Twelve Mile 500 is the Lions Club's main fundraiser for the year where proceeds go toward community projects and serves as a way for the small town and people from across the country to come together.
The Goal:
Modernize and elevate the identity systems of the Twelve Mile 500 in a way that represents the fun, small-town community excitement the race brings while still giving “America’s Oldest Lawn Mower Race” the respect it deserves. Showcase the new visual identity in ways that are relevant to the Twelve Mile 500's racers and spectators.
